ReviewNorton Corporate 9.0
|
| We recently installed Norton 9.0 on a
client’s Windows NT server (No we didn’t set them up with NT and yes, we
will be migrating them shortly.)
The server was not running any type of antivirus when we took the account. Norton 2005, of course, will not run on a server. They had purchased 4 new workstations which were near the end of their Norton Internet Security trial period. Norton Corporate 9 is available as a five license pack. The 5 license pack meant that we could install one copy on the server and the remaining 4 licenses on the workstations. Installation was smooth on both the server and the workstations. The only tedious part is registering so that you get the license file. We placed the license file on a shared directory on the server and were able to activate all of the workstations with no problems. Since it is a small office, we did not set the clients up as managed clients but rather as stand alone clients. |
