Public Sharefolder Outlook Sharing ReviewReviewed June 2005 Our Need: We needed to share MS Outlook data that was on one machine with another user on another machine over our internal network. We didn't want to go to the expense of setting up exchange. We found a tool called Public Sharefolder. It runs on the machine where you have the PST file you want to share. Outlook does not have to be running to access the PST file remotely. The licensing is for the server plus an additional fee for every additional client (after the initial client) You have to hunt around a little to find the price list in US Dollars. It is roughly about $100 per additional client. it takes a day or two for processing before you receive your licensing key. Setup is fairly easy. They have a trial so you can check it our beforehand.
Tips.
Summary This program did exactly what we needed. For a couple of users it is a lot less expensive than Exchange. For a larger office you might want to go the Exchange route.
