• Setup is simple. We did have to enable UPnP or make any changes to our linksys firewall.

• The upload speed of the network with the machine that you want to access will determine, in part, how fast the access appears.

Tips

• You might want to use a simple background. Complicated backgrounds may slow access a little.

• If you are not using one time passwords, you should change your access (not necessarily your account) password every time you have accessed your PC from any type of public or unsecured PC.

• You should change your account password on a regular basis

• When you access your machine, it will show the time and date of your last access. Make sure that your time zone is set correctly. Paying attention to this will alert you if anyone gains unauthorized access.

• Sometimes it helps to go to the full screen mode when you are accessing remotely.

• If you have a home office and your DSL/Cable modem locks up that can prevent access. You could consider taking a simple timer and having it shut down your router and modem each night at about 4 am. That way, when you are on a trip, you know that your router and modem are being rebooted every night.
